HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN ENDORSES KEITH ELLISON FOR AG
MINNESOTA – Today, Human Rights Campaign announced their endorsement of Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison for reelection. Attorney General Keith Ellison has consistently and strongly safeguarded the rights of LGBTQ+ Minnesotans. As Attorney General, he joined a coalition of Attorney Generals in successfully arguing at the Supreme Court to recognize that LGBTQ+ people are protected from workplace discrimination under federal civil rights law. He joined a multistate effort to support a young transgender man in his successful lawsuit to use the school bathroom consistent with his gender identity. Attorney General Ellison pushed back on the Trump administration's efforts to gut healthcare protections for LGBTQ+ Americans in the Affordable Care Act.
Ellison’s GOP opponents have all pledged to use the scarce resources of the Attorney General’s office to target transgender youth. Protecting the rights and safety of LGBTQ+ Minnesotans against right-wing attacks is more critical now than ever.

Attorney General Ellison continues to consolidate significant support from key advocacy groups, including Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund, End Citizens United, Collective PAC, and labor unions such as MN AFL-CIO, SEIU MN State Council, and the Minnesota Association of Professional Employees’ (MAPE) Political Action Committee.
